THE organisers of this year’s Gap Festival in Goring have been formally thanked for their efforts by the parish council.
At a full meeting on Monday members praised the community music and arts showcase, which ran from June 15 to 19 and was organised by volunteers.
Thousands of people attended and headliners included soul singer Ruby Turner, comedian Isy Suttie and TV historian Dr Lucy Worsley.
Councillor Catherine Hall said: “It’s a great accolade for the village. We have a lot of sporting events and this balances it nicely on the arts side of things.”
