A MAJOR road through Benson will be resurfaced some time over the next three months.

A MAJOR road through Benson will be resurfaced some time over the next three months.

The work will take place on a stretch of the A4074 from the marina to the Elmbridge roundabout, where the BP petrol station is located.

Benson Parish Council has been asking for the work to be done for years.

Mark Gray, the village’s representative on Oxfordshire County Council, the highways authority, said: “I am very pleased that this re-surfacing will take place as I have been pushing for it ever since I was elected in 2013.

“Highways will also be undertaking some skid resistance work at the Woodyard bend and a small amount of surface dressing to complete the Clacks Lane scheme.”
