Fresh bid for homes

A DEVELOPER has renewed his bid to build seven homes in Kingwood.

A DEVELOPER has renewed his bid to build seven homes in Kingwood.

Paul Quinney has applied for outline planning permission to develop two acres of land near the old Borocourt Hospital site off Wyfold Lane, which is part of Kingwood Farm.

The land is jointly owned by Mr Quinney and Yvonne Howie, from Twickenham, who owns Kingwood Farm.

When he applied for permission last year residents raised concerns about arboricultural, ecology and topographical issues.

In the latest application, Mr Qunney’s consultants Allan Construction, of Birmingham, say they have “considered the issues raised”, carried out additional surveys and updated drawings.

More than 30 members of the public objected to the original application.

Peppard Parish Council objected, claiming that the development would impact the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and would not be in keeping with the area.

South Oxfordshire District Council will make a decision on the latest application by October 17.
