RESIDENTS are being warned not to create entrances from their gardens to a public field in Wargrave.

Parish councillors say several householders bordering Kings Field, off Victoria Road, have created access routes through a hedge which separates their properties from the field.

Parish clerk Stephen Hedges said he would write to all residents reminding them they weren’t allowed to access the field through the hedge.

In July he wrote to residents bordering the Woodclyffe allotments to urge them not to use the site as a cut-through after a fence was damaged.

Mr Hodges said: “We will do exactly what we have done with the allotment site and say there’s no access on to Kings Field.”
