Appeal over two homes

AN appeal has been lodged after plans for two homes in Peppard were refused planning permission.

AN appeal has been lodged after plans for two homes in Peppard were refused planning permission.

D&N Construction, of Salisbury, applied to develop land off Stoke Row Road.

But South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority, said the development would be cramped, out of keeping with the area and conflict with the established street scene.

In the appeal documents, Charter House Planning, of Salisbury, says: “The proposals are in accordance with development plan policies in terms of character and appearance of the area and will provide a positive contribution in keeping with other built development in the locality in terms of design, scale, massing, density and appearance.

“The proposals will not give rise to any harmful impact on the residential amenity of neighbours.”
