THE new owner of a Goring café is seeking permission to sell alcohol.

Vivienne Lee, who took over The Village Café in High Street earlier this year, has asked South Oxfordshire District Council for a licence to sell wine, beer, Prosecco and liqueurs for hot drinks.

The premises recently underwent a £30,000 makeover and is to be renamed the Village Chocolate Café as Ms Lee also owns the Chocolate Café in Thames Side, Henley.

Anyone wishing to comment on her application should contact the council in writing before November 7.
