Where to recycle your tree

RESIDENTS of South Oxfordshire are being encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees.

Trees can be taken to the Oxfordshire County Council waste recycling centre at Oakley Wood or left next to residents’ brown bins for collection during a garden waste collection week.

They can also be taken to the following centres until Sunday, January 12: Toad Hall, Henley; Root One, Brightwell-cum-sotwell; the Herb Farm, Sonning Common; the Tree Barn, Christmas Common.

Trees can also be left in the car park at Ewelme recreation ground or at Watlington recreation ground.

In Henley, trees can also be recycled on Sunday and Monday between 10am and noon by taking them to Mill Meadows car park, where the town council’s parks staff will shred them in return for a £2 donation to Henley in Bloom.
