£25,000 hall toilets

ABOUT £25,000 is needed to build new toilets at Peppard war memorial hall.

The hall management committee has asked the parish council for a grant for the work as well as for money towards flower boxes and signage that have already been bought.

Councillor Simon Crouch said the council would only pay for capital projects where it can use its tax status to save money, adding: “It shouldn’t really be used to pay for flower boxes.”

The committee also wants a “folding wall” where panels would be used to create a small room.
