‘Residents needn’t fear my extension’

A WOMAN has defended plans to extend her Henley home.

Fiona Esom wants to add a single-storey rear and side extension to her house in Leicester Close.

Neighbours have objected to the plans, which include building a 10ft high concrete wall along the boundary with next door, and Henley Town Council’s planning committee unanimously recommended it for refusal, claiming it would be overdevelopment of the site.

But Ms Esom, who has lived at the house for almost two years, says councillors are wrong.

She said: “I am concerned that my neighbours have been needlessly alarmed.
