Decorative phone boxes

TWO former telephone boxes have been bought by Wargrave Parish Council for £1 each.

The traditional kiosks are opposite the Horns pub in Crazies Hill and outside the old Queen Victoria pub in Hare Hatch.

They will be kept for decoration after BT removed the phone lines and offered them to the council.

Council chairman Richard Bush said: “The one in Crazies Hill will be looked after by the council and the Cockpole Green and Crazies Hill residents’ associations.

“Similarly, residents in Hare Hatch will care for the other one.”
