Town hall acoustics ‘costing bookings’

FACILITIES at Henley town hall are set to be improved.

The town council plans to hire a specialist to look at the problems of sound, light and vision in the main hall because it could be costing it bookings.

Councillor Elizabeth Hodgkin said: “Over the years, Henley town hall has endeavoured to sort out the sound problems of the main hall.

“This has been done piecemeal and not necessarily looking at other areas, such as vision abd lighting. All these things are crucial when the hall is being hired out.

“We may not necessarily want to show live feed opera as we have the Kenton Theatre but the space could be far better utilised.
