Big box for online shopping deliveries

A PARCELS locker could be installed in Henley if an appropriate location can be found.

Residents would be able to have goods they have bought online delivered to the ByBox rather than to their homes when they might be out.

When an item is delivered, a text message is sent to the buyer with a security code which will open the locker.

South Oxfordshire District Council has been working with ByBox, which is based in Wantage, to install lockers in towns in the district to help increase footfall. They are already in Abingdon, Botley, Didcot, Farringdon, Wantage and Wallingford.

The Henley locker would be about 3m wide, 2m high and 1m deep.
