Hall bench replaced

A NEW bench is to be installed outside Woodclyffe Hall in Wargrave to replace one stolen last year.

The bench was delivered to Wargrave Parish Council last week and will be put in place once it has been engraved.

The old bench, which was covered with knitting as part of a Knit the Village project, disappeared from outside the hall in High Street one night in June last year.

The replacement bench cost the council and Wargrave Heritage Trust £550. It will be engraved with “Woodclyffe Hall Wargrave” in the hope that this will prevent it from being stolen.
