Residents oppose plan for 10 homes

A PLANNING consultant wants to build 10 new houses in Woodcote.

David Denham has applied to South Oxfordshire District Council for outline planning permission for the development at Goats Gambol in Beech Lane.

The 2.2-acre site has not been included in the Woodcote neighbourhood plan, which goes to a village referendum in April.

Mr Denham, of Denham & Co, of Frieth, says four of the properties would be affordable and offered to a housing association.

He claimed the neighbourhood plan “does not achieve its objectives with regard to housing provision”, saying it “suggests allocation of a small number of mainly random small sites, which will not provide adequate affordable housing”.
