Neighbours fed up with bin collections on different days

RESIDENTS of a street on the boundary of two borough council areas say they are fed up with having different rubbish collections.

Star Lane in Knowl Hill is split between Wokingham and Windsor & Maidenhead, meaning that both councils collect on different days.

Three houses have a collection by Wokingham council on Wednesdays while the other 20 homes have their rubbish collected by Windsor & Maidenhead council on Fridays.

Residents say the system is confusing and have called on the councils to combine their collections.

Two of those whose rubbish is collected in bags by Wokingham would prefer to be served by Windsor & Maidenhead in order to be given wheelie bins.
