PLANS to extend a cottage in Greenfield have been opposed by Watlington councillors.
The owner of Lavender Cottage wants to add a two-storey and single-storey side extension as well as a porch.
Watlington Parish Council’s planning committee recommended that the application is refused by South Oxfordshire District Council on the grounds that it would be “visually incongruous to the existing house in style, form and materials”. The committee also opposed an application to convert an outbuilding at 14 Watcombe Road, Watlington, into annexe accommodation, including a ground floor extension, due to the loss of privacy at the neighbouring property.
Members also opposed plans by the owner of The Cottage in Greenfield to relocate the driveway and replace the garage.
