‘Sewage works noise sounds like motorway’

A WOMAN claims she is being disturbed by noise from a nearby sewage works.

Kim Potter, of Loddon Drive, Wargrave, says the noise from the Thames Water plant is so bad that it is like living next to a motorway.

The problem began last April when she claims maintenance at the plant in Wargrave Road was cut as a cost-saving measure. The company has denied this.

Ms Potter, who runs a dog training company, said: “I live near St Patrick’s stream, which is upstream from the sewage works.

“What we are finding is there’s a lot more noise from it now they have cut down on maintenance. I can hear the noise from my verandah and it’s constant.
