Guided by footprints

FOOTPRINTS could be used to direct people to the Old Fire Station Gallery in Henley.

The town council, which owns the gallery is trying to encourage more visitors as well as more bookings for the gallery.

It would cost £155 plus VAT for 20 footprints leading from the town hall to the gallery behind it and £280 plus VAT for 50. They would not damage the York stone pavements.

Councillor Pam Phillips said: “The idea being our footprints will engage everyone and people will follow them to the gallery. I think we will have a short person like myself to space it out and see how many steps we need.”

She said the disabled ramp had been reduced in size and a new hanging system for pictures was to be introduced.
