Councillor vacancy

WATLINGTON Parish Council is looking to co-opt a new member following a resignation.

Harvey Batten quit in January after moving his building business into an industrial unit at Monument Park, Chalgrove, as it is expanding.

He said: “I just don’t have the time to give to the council unfortunately.”

Those who would like to be considered for the position should apply in writing to the parish clerk, stating briefly why they would like to undertake the role and what they feel they offer the community.

All applicants need to be available to attend the council’s meeting on Tuesday, April 8 (8pm) where they will be given two minutes to tell members about themselves followed by questions.
