Plans for 10 homes refused

PLANS to build 10 new houses at Goats Gambol in Woodcote have been turned down.

Planning consultant David Denham wanted outline planning permission to develop the 0.89 hectare field off Beech Lane.

Mr Denham, of Denham & Co in Frieth, hoped to build 10 homes and offer four to a housing association as affordable housing.

He argued the site was brownfield land as it was used by animal care businesses, including a dog walking service and a stables.

But South Oxfordshire District Council refused permission after receiving more than 50 letters of objection from neighbours.
