New home ‘too big’

PLANS for a four-bedroom house in Charvil have been rejected.

Rajesh Sharma and Shahnaz Shah had applied for permission to build the house alongside an existing property in Milestone Crescent.

But Wokingham Borough Council ruled that it would be too big for the site.

Claire Lawrence, head of development management, said: “Due to its size, scale, design and location, the proposal would result in a cramped, visually obtrusive development.

“It has also not been sufficiently demonstrated that the proposal could provide adequate parking.”
