£17,000 for neighbourhood plan

SONNING Common Parish Council has been awarded £17,000 towards the cost of its neighbourhood plan.

Locality, a network of development trusts, community enterprises, settlements and social action centres, has given £7,000 and South Oxfordshire District Council provided the rest.

A draft report about the plan has been published at www.scpc-ndp.co.uk and residents are being asked to give their feedback.

The report covers the objectives, sustainability issues and criteria for development.

Councillor Barrie Greenwood, chairman of the plan working party, said: “We are making very good progress and will finalise our draft plan ready for wide consultation starting in September.”
