Noise survey for skate park proposal

A NOISE assessment report is to be compiled in support of a new skate park for Henley.

It has been commissioned by the Henley Skatepark Initiative, which is campaigning for the £250,000 facility at Makins recreation ground.

South Oxfordshire District Council will consider the report before deciding whether to grant Henley Town Council planning permission.

Mayor Stefan Gawrysiak told a meeting of the town council’s recreation and amenities committee that noise readings had been taken by an independent company.

Councillor Sam Evans asked: “How can you do a report of a facility that isn’t even there?”
