BOROUGH council elections were held in Wargrave and Caversham yesterday (Thursday).
A total of 11 candidates stood for the two wards, which are part of Wokingham and Reading borough councils respectively.
Incumbent Robert Pitts, Conservative, was one of five to stand for the seat in the Remenham, Wargrave and Ruscombe ward, along with Labour’s Stuart Crainer and Martin Alder of the Liberal Democrats.
Andy Heape represented UKIP and James O’Callaghan was the Green Party candidate.
In Caversham, Conservative candidate Geoff Poland stood along with Labour’s Rachael Chrisp, the Liberal Democrats’ Christopher Burden, Michael Diamond of UKIP, the Green Party’s Jenny Hicks and Silvia Vousden, for the Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cuts.
