SHOPS, traffic and the environment are some of the most important issues to be addressed in Watlington’s neighbourhood plan.
That is according to the initial feedback from public consultation on the plan.
Housing appears to be less of an issue with the mix and concentration of developments seen as relatively unimportant by most respondents, according to the neighbourhood plan core committee.
However, the committee says this is not consistent with the frequent verbal comments on the need for sufficient affordable housing to be included in the mix.
Almost 95 per cent of respondents said retail was very or vitally important and 40 per cent referred to traffic issues with half in favour of a relief road and half against.
