ALMOST 1,000 people have signed a petition to save the Sonning Common branch of NatWest.
More than 600 names were added to the petition at Brighton’s Newsagents and the rest were gathered online.
Parish councillor Dirk Jones, who started the petition, said: “The paper version is now closed but the online petition still going.”
The petition calls for the Peppard Road bank to remain in the village and move to a more central location in Wood Lane.
The bank says the branch has lost customers due to the growth of online banking.
