Pollution action plan criticised

COUNCILLORS say they are disappointed with a new action plan designed to improve air quality in Henley.

A low emission zone was among measures put forward in the district council’s new “action plan” to help tackle the town’s pollution levels, which are some of the highest in South Oxfordshire.

But town councillors said they would like more than old ideas.

Speaking at a meeting of the council’s town and community meeting on Tuesday,

Councillor Dieter Hinke: “I don’t see anything new here.
