Shop plan for listed building

A NEW antiques and art showroom could open in Henley.

Nicholas Little Antiques wants to used the former malthouse in Hart Street, which is Grade II listed.

Hart St Maltings has submitted a planning application to convert the empty light industrial building into a retail unit.

If approved, the building would include an office, storage accommodation and new mezzanine storage areas in the roof void.

The flint and brickwork would be repaired and insulation would be put in the roof and walls to make the building more energy efficient. The concrete floor would be broken up, removed and replaced and the main entrance to the shop would be through new double doors.
