Council objects again to house as ‘too big’

PLANS to build a five- bedroom house in Loddon Drive, Wargrave, have again been opposed by the parish council.

Developer Palatine Homes wants to demolish two existing buildings on the site of Meadswood to make way for the new property.

In June, councillors spoke out against the company’s application, saying the house would be “too big”.

Palatine has amended its plans but at a meeting last week the council said that despite the changes, the property would still be too large for the plot.

Members said the building would be too tall and overlook neighbouring properties. They also had concerns about the size of an 190 sq m outdoor decking area on the first floor.
