THE results of the public consultation on the neighbourhood plan, which ended two weeks ago, will not be released for at least a fortnight.
Dieter Hinke, chairman of the town council’s neighbourhood plan governance committee, said more time was needed to analyse the replies.
Participants filled out forms asking whether they supported the draft plan and inviting them to expand on their answer. Cllr Hinke said: “The consultation process has not yet been completed as we must have all the data in a form we can easily understand. We discussed some of the results but don’t want to release anything on a piecemeal basis because it wouldn’t give an accurate picture.
Nexus [The council’s consultants] has to analyse responses not just from the public but from the district and county councils and various community groups. Some of them have come back with quite lengthy comments and that will take time to go through.”
