Call for help at service

HENLEY Town Council is appealing for volunteers to help staff tidy the Market Place following next month’s civil service to mark the centenary of the start of the First World War.

During the open-air service, on August 3, a plaque commemorating the town’s “forgotten” soldiers will be unveiled.

It will be conducted by Lord Lieutenant Tim Stevenson. This will be followed by a drumhead service.

If you can help on the day, please get in contact with Jacqui Brazil on 01491 576982 or email her via enquiries@henleytowncouncil.gov.uk
