Fresh bid for homes

A DEVELOPER has submitted a new planning application to build homes at Churchfield Farm in Benson.

Castlehouse Developments is seeking permission for five houses, having had a previous application for six refused by South Oxfordshire District Council.

Richard Wyndham-Smith, the company’s agent, says the plans have been amended to substantially increase the outdoor space at two of the plots. He also says that Oxfordshire County Council has no objections to the proposed access direct on to Oxford Road, which was given as a reason for refusal previously.

Mr Wyndham-Smith adds: “The revised application produces a satisfactory, comprehensive development of an area of land which it is accepted is suitable for development and adheres to both the council’s policies and to the National Planning Policy Framework.”
