Search is on for possible sites to develop

LANDOWNERS and developers with an interest in the Watlington area are being asked to put forward possible sites for housing.

The move is the next step in the development of the parish’s neighbourhood plan.

Nick Hancock, chairman of the neighbourhood plan core committee, said: “This is in recognition of the urgency needed to address the housing allocation, the increasing interest from local developers and the awareness of the election next year, which could lead to changes in the regulations governing neighbourhood plans.

“The team are drawing up a comprehensive list of possible development sites, not just for housing, which extends beyond those identified formally by the core strategy for the area.”

Watlington has been allocated 79 homes to be built by 2027 under South Oxfordshire District Council’s core strategy.
