Takeaway plan is rejected

PLANS for a fast-food takeaway in Charvil have been refused by Wokingham Borough Council.

Kesar Rai wanted to use a disused storage building next to Charvil post office in Park View Drive.

However, the council said a takeaway would lead to noise late at night which would disturb residents.

Last year, Mr Rai was refused permission to build two one-bedroom flats above the post office.

Meanwhile, an appeal against the refusal of planning permission for two new houses off Gingells Farm Road, Charvil, has been dismissed.
