A FORMER village pub is set to be turned into a post office, shop and tearooms.
The Four Horseshoes in Checkendon closed in October having had a number of tenants in recent years.
Now pub company Brakspear, which owns the Grade II listed building, has submitted a change of use application to South Oxfordshire District Council.
The move comes less than two months after the owner of the village’s current post office and store was granted planning permission to convert the building into a house.
Meanwhile, the post office in the neighbouring village of Stoke Row is also set to close.
