Flat revamp

A FLAT above a former Henley pub is set to be refurbished.

The first-floor flat is in a timber-framed building in Bell Street previously known as the Bear pub, which dated back to at least the 17th century.

Owner Linden Glen is proposing minor internal works to improve the design of the property which he says currently looks like a circus “fun house”.

The town council’s planning committee recommended the application for approval, subject to the views of the conservation officer at South Oxfordshire District Council.
