Now on camera

HENLEY Town Council’s decision to allow meetings to be filmed has not gone down well with everyone.

Mayor Martin Akehurst confirmed at a planning committee meeting this week that video and photography will be allowed in the council chamber from now on.

To celebrate, Councillor David Nimmo Smith took a photo of Councillor David Clenshaw across the table.

Cllr Clenshaw immediately stood up to complain, stating that he “objected to the flash” from the phone.

However, he was soon assuaged by Councillor Akehurst, who said: “I believe Cllr Nimmo Smith was just trying to be humorous.”
