PEPPARD Parish Council is investigating alternative sites for a new playground in the village.
The council identified a location for the facility on the top common, near the lay-by on the link road between the B481 and Colliers Lane.
But several residents have suggested that it be built north of Dog Lane and adjacent to the B481, near a site earmarked for the new primary school.
One resident has suggested the play area be built as part of the school, which has planning permission from South Oxfordshire District Council but has stalled due to a lack of funding.
Councillor Fiona Berry said: “In a way, it makes a lot of sense. After school the children all play on the common so the ones most likely to use the play area are the schoolchildren.”
