A RESIDENTS’ permit parking scheme will soon be rolled out on part of Bell Street, Henley.
Oxfordshire County Council, the highways authority, is drafting a traffic regulation order that will make the scheme legally binding.
David Nimmo Smith, who represents Henley on the council, said officers would carry out public consultation before launching the scheme.
He made the announcement at a meeting of the town council on Tuesday after a resident complained that the scheme was overdue.
It was first announced in February last year after a government inspector rejected an application for a “stopping-up” order which would have removed public highway status from that section of the street.
