Warden welcomes repairs

A MAN who complained about the condition of a Henley has welcomed the prospect of repairs.

Oxfordshire County Council will carry out patching work on Marlow Road from its junction with Northfield End to the county boundary from October 6. The work is expected to take 12 days.

Michael Wiseman, warden at the Four Oaks Caravan Club in Marlow Road, had complained that the road outside the site was dangerous because drivers were swerving to avoid potholes.

He called the repairs “brilliant news” but said he was still waiting for a response to a request to have overgrown vegetation at the side of the road cut back.

“I have been told by the county council that a report is being done and they will get back to me on that,” he said.
