Henley library and homes without power

HENLEY library is closed and 49 properties are without power today (Tuesday) until about 4pm.

Scottish and Southern Electricity is repairing an underground cable in Adam Court which will affect residents there and in neighbouring Ravenscroft Road.

A company spokesman said: “We found a fault in the underground cable last week. We managed to restore power using a temporary system but now we want to find and fix the fault, which is deep underground.”

He said vulnerable or elderly residents had been contacted and offered support.

The library will re-open as normal tomorrow (Wednesday).
