Power off

FORTY-NINE properties in Henley, including the library, were without power for much of Tuesday.

Scottish and Southern Electricity was repairing an underground cable at Adam Court which affected residents there and in neighbouring Ravenscroft Road.

A company spokesman said: “We found a fault in the underground cable last week. We managed to restore power using a temporary system but wanted to find and fix the fault, which was deep underground.”
