SIX entrance signs to Henley are to be redesigned to mark the twinning agreement with Bled in Slovenia.
Henley Town Council has agreed to pay £500 for new designs that include Bled and its crest.
The work will be carried out by Guiliani Architects, which designed the existing signs in 1998. Then, the council paid £4,400 for Arrow Castings to produce the signs.
Councillors decided not to also mark Henley’s three consecutive Britain in Bloom regional gold awards on the signs, despite a plea from Elizabeth Hodgkin, vice-chairwoman of Henley in Bloom.
Councillor Hodgkin said: “We should be shouting about being national finalists as it’s something we should be proud of.
