PLANS for a new home in Wargrave have been approved despite objections by the parish council.
Martin Costelloe has been given permission to demolish Rivermead House in Henley Road and build a new five-bedroom home.
Parish councillors claimed the increase in volume of the development would be greater than is allowed in the green belt.
But Mr Costelloe’s agents Spratley Studios said the increase was within the 35 per cent allowed by the council.
They also said the house would be smaller than one proposed in plans approved in 2011 to build a gym and pool house on the site.
