TWO new sites have been put forward for redevelopment under the joint Henley and Harpsden neighbourhood plan.
Henley Youth Centre in Deanfield Avenue and the Makower building at the top of Greys Road were offered up for housing this week.
When landowners were first invited to submit their sites a year ago, the youth centre’s trustees were still trying to keep the facility open.
But in June they announced plans to sell it as they were struggling to pay the £45,000-a-year running costs.
By this point, a six-week consultation on the first draft of the plan was already under way and the trustees felt they had missed their opportunity.
