Neighbours oppose homes plan for old bus station

NEIGHBOURS have raised concerns about plans for 14 new homes on the site of a derelict bus depot in Woodcote.

Millgate Homes has applied for planning permission to demolish the Chiltern Queens premises to the east of Long Toll.

It wants to build a terrace of six houses and four one-bedroom flats, all of which would be “affordable”.

There would also be four semi-detached houses each with three bedrooms which would be sold at the market rate.

The site was approved for up to 14 dwellings in Woodcote’s neighbourhood plan, which passed a village referendum earlier this year. However, residents of neighbouring Green Lane say the development would create traffic problems and two have formally objected to South Oxfordshire District Council.
