Shop bays may have parking time limit

RESTRICTIONS could finally be introduced at three parking bays in front of a parade of shops in Henley.

Businesses in Reading Road say their customers struggle to access the spaces because other people park there for a day or more.

In one instance earlier this year, a Jeep took up one of the bays near the junction with Station Road for at least four days.

Now Oxfordshire County Council is considering imposing a time limit of either 20 or 30 minutes.

A statutory consultation on the scheme will be launched later this year and the council expects to make a decision by February.
