FOUR new homes in Sonning Common will be able to have garages.
A revised application by Belgrave Homes to include the garages in the development behind shops in Wood Lane has been approved by South Oxfordshire District Council.
Permission for the four semi-detached houses was granted on appeal in May but the developer then decided to add the two detached garages and two linked garages.
Belgrave Homes said the garages would enhance the development and improve car parking and storage for the new householders.
The company said: “The siting, design and appearance of the approved houses will be largely unaltered by these proposals, with the garages being sited in the location of approved surface parking or in the spaces between the proposed houses.The garages will not be visually prominent, nor will they impact on the wider character of the area.”
