HENLEY town clerk Mike Kennedy is to take part in the Reading half marathon next month.
He will be raising money for the Sue Ryder hospice in Nettlebed.
Mr Kennedy said: “I really enjoyed my first half marathon in Ealing, so this year I decided to run the Reading race and try to beat my time of two hours, three minutes.
“I decided to run for Sue Ryder because I wanted to help a local charity and the town council was pleased to be a partner in the development of the Sue Ryder woodland last year.
“This is my way of personally supporting this most worthy organisation.”
