Rethink on railing

HENLEY councillors have withdrawn their objection to plans by Olivia Harrison to install a steel railing to protect her Henley

HENLEY councillors have withdrawn their objection to plans by Olivia Harrison to install a steel railing to protect her Henley home from intruders.

Mrs Harrison wants to erect a 2m high railing at Friar Park beyond the existing fenced boundary at Gravel Hill.

Councillors had been concerned about the effect on a tree but a survey found there was no danger to it.

South Oxfordshire District Council will make the final decision.
